How Zero Adds Up

We use the Environmental Defense Fund’s state-of-the-art and benchmark-setting Paper Calculator to calculate your paper’s lifecycle emissions. It’s based on industry data and the weight, grade, and recycled content of the paper.

Transportation emissions are calculated with the internationally-recognized Greenhouse Gas Protocol Transportation Tool.

The total of these two calculations is multiplied by the prevailing cost per tonne for carbon to offset CO2 equivalent greenhouse gases.
